Unbelievable

My Uncle Mark has been through a lot.  You may recall the post when my Aunt Linda, Uncle Mark's wife, passed away from cancer.  If not, you can read that HERE.  Well, Uncle Mark has not been feeling well and went to the doctor a few weeks ago.  They discovered an infection in his prostate that they originally thought could be cancer, but it wasn't.  However, they did notice a growth on one of his kidneys.  That growth has been analyzed and they discovered it was cancerous.

Can you believe that?  Hasn't this man and his two young daughters been through enough?????  My mind just cannot grasp what is happening to them AGAIN.

What is amazing though is that the doctors say that this cancerous tumor has probably been growing for 4 years!  If he wouldn't have had the infection, it would have gone undetected!  In another four years, it would have killed him.  God does work in mysterious ways.

The plan of action is to remove the kidney.  This will be done as soon as possible.  As a result of having only 1 working kidney, he HAS to lose weight.  My Uncle Mark is a big man...and one kidney cannot support his weight.  He will have to get serious about losing weight and I think he is ready.  He wants to be around for his little girls.
